The voyagers: John Franklin, captain of Erebus’s Arctic voyage Franklin was a questionable choice of captain for Erebus ’s 1845 journey to the Arctic. The author has thoroughly researched the story of Erebus and includes photos and maps with an index and acknowledgements at the back of the book. Buy the cheaper one; it's a great read. I have to say up front that I loved this book and couldn’t put it down. Erebus book. one of the best i read for years.

Sure, the motive is mainly colonialism, to spread British culture to the "uncivilized". It reads like a British documentary, in a good way. It is now available on Google books and Amazon. They were both then strengthened and adapted for polar exploration which remained their function and the two were always used together.I wanted to read this book as soon as I saw it was available. Palin is a witty but thorough story-teller. The ending is marvelous!I was going to push through it for the beautiful way it was written, how easy of a picture it painted in my mind. Erebus? Like I said in a status update, it's like reading your own horror movie.
