The cavern under the Louisville Zoo has remained virtually dormant since the last load of limestone was mined nearly 20 years ago to build bridges and roads across the Midwest. The guides are also very knowledgable about the history and geology facts surrounding the Louisville Mega Cavern. My 7 year old son did the mega quest and had a great time. Currently, the cavern is used for storage for large companies and boats/RVs so there is really not a lot to see.
