From the lowest elevation to the highest, you have Les Brévières, Tignes 1800, Le Lac and Val Claret.The most convenient airport is Chambery, situated 144km away by motorway and then mountain road.

Highly recommended. Unless you love fondue, that is pretty had to find in most resorts. Alternative activities such as bowling, cinema, husky-dog sledging, ice climbing, ice skating, shopping and more are on offer here.As it is fairly typical of a small ski resort, restaurants are mostly Savoyard in style in Tignes, offering mountain Alpine classics such as tartiflette, fondue and raclette.

I can also report that the Tartiflette in La Trifollette above la Daille but below Folie Douce between the Green and Red pistes is the best in the region.

Yes, you can come summer skiing in Tignes.

I still favour Val d'Isére because of the nightlife but if you are into cheaper skiing and faster access to higher slopes then Tignes ticks those boxes admirably.
